For the Kid in all of us
How to Help The Toy Party 2005 Past Events About Us
Traditionally, the holidays are a joyous season for children and their families. However, for those less fortunate, this time of year can be particularly difficult. The numbers are staggering. In August 2004, the US Census Bureau estimated that in Georgia alone, there are well over 400,000 children in need. And the poverty rate continues to worsen.
Our objective is to brighten the holiday season for as many of these children through the collection of toys and donations for organizations which serve this constituency.

For The Toy Party 2005, we have selected the following beneficiares:

The CHRIS Rainbow Program provides a safe and supportive residence for homeless and runaway GLBT and questioning youth, giving these young people a place where they can learn self acceptance and be open about who they are without fear or retribution. In this positive environment, youth gain the self-confidence to make it on their own.

A private, not-for-profit agency, Hillside provides quality, cost-effective treatment and education to severely emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and their families. Programs include intensive residential psychiatric treatment, therapeutic foster care and community-based family preservation services.

Jerusalem House is a warm, caring home for homeless people with AIDS that allows them to retain their independence and dignity. For over a decade, Jerusalem House has served as a peaceful oasis in the lives of over 200 residents who have called it home.
