For the Kid in All of Us is proud to announce the return of Backpack in the Park, a community picnic and backpack/school supply drive! Moreover, we welcome InterContinental Hotels Group as the Presenting Sponsor of our 4th annual back-to-school benefit event when it returns to the pavilions at Historic Grant Park on Sunday, June 28.

Thanks to your generous support, last year's event yielded more than 900 backpacks, filled with school supplies, and gift cards! The donated school supplies were given to Atlanta area children, helping to ensure they started their school year with the necessary tools for their education. Gift cards were distributed to faculty to provide additional supplies for classroom work that might have been unattainable. With your help and continued support, we can increase the number of children we assist in 2009!

This year's Backpack in the Park beneficiaries are Camp Horizon, Cool Girls, Inc., Hendrix Drive Elementary School, Mega Family Project, and Nicholas House. Learn more about this year's beneficiaries here.

This year, we are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Atlanta Pride: Backpack in the Park is the featured final event of Stonewall Week, honoring the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. For the Kid In All of Us President Frank Bragg says: "This is an important year for our community to come together and we are thrilled to partner with Atlanta Pride. We are confident that our association with Atlanta Pride will bring greater awareness to our efforts and will result in more children served."
